I have to preface this post by saying that I am obsessed with blouses and have been for quite some time! I was afraid that after Winter they would be kicked to the proverbial kerb, but seeing the Spring 2013 collections from several designers I've realised that its here to stay! Praise the Lord! Blouses are so versatile, they are easy to go from day to night and can be worn with anything.  I think the main differences is that this season the pieces are a lot more embellished and there is some lace incorporated which I LOVE!! check them out...

Victoria Beckham's Spring collection is fresh, floaty and feminine.  It's a real departure from the Roland Mouret structured pieces we've seen from Beckham in the past and I'm loving it!  The black collared playsuit   is definitely a firm favourite of mine.

How amazing does model of the moment, Miss Delevingne look in Just Cavalli!  I'm not sure if I'll be rocking the leopard print leggings any time soon but I'm loving the print on print trend!

#DoingitfortheGIRLS

I've got to echo Alicia Keys lyrics when I say that in 2013 these girls are on FIRE...

OK, so I'm going to be honest and say that I know NOTHING about the Super bowl, but OMG the half time performance from Destiny's Child was ridiculously amazing they have literally never looked better! We all knew Destiny's Child would be back with a bang but this was unreal, I love the fact that they were rocking leather and lace on stage, absolutely bang on trend and smouldering!

 

Inspiring women are certainly not in shortage this year as HBO's 'Girls' proves.  These New York girls and young, fresh and doing it for themselves.  Lead characters Hannah, Marnie, Shoshanna and Jessa are all completely different characters with equally different styles. Although they are all different, they are inspirational.  If you have a void left by Sex and the city, then this will certainly fill it and then some!

Be inspired! 2013 is the year of women on fire!

#FashionFlashbacks

O*M*G...I've been loving River Island recently, the Spring stuff that's coming out is amazing! Here's some of my favourites from the 'Get the look' section, the first one is totally Rihanna inspired..

I love casual denims in Spring and who knew the baseball jacket and pop sock trend would be making a return!! Anyway I'm loving this for a casual day but if were talking fashion flash backs then we can't ignore the return of the... 90's body con

OH Lord! I can tell this is what I'll be wearing on many nights out IF I can stay at the gym! Right now this is not a trend to be attempting until I've lost a few of those stubborn Christmas pounds!

The reason I haven't written anything all weekend is because my parents were here to stay so I've been showing them around and (attempting) cooking! It was such a nice day on Saturday and we went for a walk along the pier, I wore my favourite jacket which I got for Christmas. Its khaki with gold sequined sleeves and I'm obsessed with it because it is casual and dressy, so in my mind it goes with everything! I'm pretty sure you can get it in Missguided or on Ebay if you search 'sequin sleeves'.  I've got my trusty studded hobo bag which literally has not left my side since I got it from Christmas! It's from Next and is £32 I think! I love this photo, its so nice to have family time...

Another amazing weekend spent with the best people! Next week is going to be a busy week so I'm going to bed...to dream of this mulberry bag... one can dream...

#LeatherLust

I've been inspired by the recent pictures of the new season filming of 'Made In Chelsea' plus it doesn't take a lot to be inspired by the leather trend! I love mixing leather with delicate lace and chiffons blouses and then adding a studded bag for that extra edge.  I adore the chicness (is that a word?) of these outfits, plus I'm so happy that pointed court shoes are making a come back! #Januaryblues

Ok so January is the most depressing month of the year, its literally a fact! Everybody is skint, we all ate way too much at Christmas and most of us are failing at our ridiculous New years resolutions (I mean realistically how can I give up chocolate) but do not fear it is nearly over! In two short days we are in February, the month of LOVE! Anyway this is a short post specifically to share some morale boosting words of wisdom, for those who, like me, are suffering the January blues... 

p.s I went to Prezzo's tonight and ate the world! DIET FAIL :(
